Marc Aidinoff

Ph.D. Candidate

Marc Aidinoff spends his time thinking about how organizations develop structures for decision making. He studies the ways in which systems designed to manage knowledge can play a determinative role in policy outcomes. From the competing bureaucracies of the American national security apparatus to the growing efforts to make local governments more “data-driven,” Marc is interested in organizational attempts to manage the lifecycle of knowledge.

Marc has followed the data-driven government movement from the inside when he worked as Assistant Policy Director for Vice President Joe Biden. There, he handled a broad portfolio, including job-driven training and infrastructure investment. He is also involved with Civis Analytics, a progressive predictive analytics firm that helps target outreach for public-sector services.

Marc received his AB summa cum laude from Harvard University.
