Irene Tenison – 2024/2025 Takeda Fellow

IPRI’s Irene Tenison was selected by MIT’s School of Engineering as a
Takeda Fellow for the 2024-25 academic year. With support from Takeda,she will conduct pathbreaking research on real-time and decentralized patient monitoring using machine learning methods for tiny devices such as sensors and microcontrollers.

Now in its fifth year, the MIT-Takeda Program, a collaboration between MIT’s School of Engineering and Takeda, fuels the development and application of artificial intelligence capabilities to benefit human health and drug development. Part of the Abdul Latif Jameel Clinic for Machine Learning in Health, the program coalesces disparate disciplines, merges theory and practical implementation, combines algorithm and hardware innovations, and creates multidimensional collaborations between academia and industry.

Irene works does research with Lalana Kagal in the Decentralized Information Group.
