IPRI End of the Year Presentations
December 6 13:00-16:00
How do law, policy, and technology interact? And how do these subjects relate to the ever-changing controversies involving the control of the Internet?
During the 2018 fall semester, MIT students have been searching for answers to these questions as part of the 6.805 class. In this course, students have enhanced their abilities to both analyze and participate in worldwide public policy debates surrounding the Internet.
As a result of this hard work, eight student teams and will soon present on five critical topics:
- Smart Cities Privacy
- Cybersecurity: Policy and the Private Sector
- Fairness in Machine Learning and the WhatIf Tool
- Social Media Content Moderation: Freedom of Expression and Transparency
- Iot Security and Data Privacy
Join us on December 6, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m in the Star Conference room to hear the results of these projects. At this time, the presentations will also be judged by distinguished guests.
And keep an eye out for an upcoming video and blog post after the presentations, which will share some of the event highlights.
